REVIEW:Inception: INCEPTION takes your mind on hostage!!!

My Rating: 5/5 IMDb Rating: 9/10 Director:Chris Nolan                                                       It is said that  'illusion is the first of all pleasures'. Inception is one film where you take a coffee mug inside the theater and you do not taste it even once, not because the coffee is bad but because the movie is insanely brilliant. Two years ago Nolan gave us the spectacular 'The dark knight', and with Inception not only he touches the pinnacle of science-fiction cinema but  takes it to a astounding new level which is even beyond the imagination of our wildest dreams. Inception is not simply a movie it is a piece of coal which is twisted and bent and swiveled till the time it turns into a priceless platinum chunk. Nolan takes us on a ferociously amazing ride and in the end instead of halting the ride, he smashes the accelerator, and throws away the brake. Even after the movie has ended and the lights are turned on, we just keep on staring at the damn

REVIEW: Black Swan: A dark movie which perfectly enlightens....

Natalie Portman in the movie 'Black Swan' My Rating: 5/5 IMDb : 8.8/10                           Darren Aronofsky's latest film 'Black Swan' is  nothing less than a masterpiece. His last flick, 'The Wrestler' was  flawless but in 'Black Swan' Aronofsky  defines perfection. It's a spell binding web  of extreme human emotions explored in the most haunting and hysterical way. With 'Black Swan' Natalie Portman strikes us with her best performance till date.  No doubt that this seductively wicked film would  attain multiple Oscar nominations.               Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman) is dancer in a New York Ballet company who has struggled her way through, to get the role of the lead dancer in the classical ballet 'Swan Lake' . A fragile and a over protected girl by her mother, she starts hallucinating bad things under the peer pressure of the director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel), who wants her to get in  character of blac

REVIEW: Orphan - Disturbing and surprising...

Isabella Fuhrman as 'Esther' in the movie Orphan  My rating: 4/5 IMDb rating: 7.1/10 Producer: Leonardo Dicaprio Now a days horror flicks suffer from basically  two problems: 1) They are less of a horror and more of a thriller 2) Whatever spooky scenes are there, either they look comic or are copied from previous horror films.               Luckily 'Orphan' doesn't struggle with these issues. No doubt it is formulated, but the important thing is that the formula works. Orphan is one the films in which a little child commits unforgivable evil acts. The 'Omen' series still remains at the top spot in this genre but still 'Orphan' is way ahead of many movies in terms of pure entertainment. It has many scenes where you would feel like some steel hands have gripped your windpipe. And the grip keeps on tightening throughout the film.                      This a story in which a couple John and Kate Coleman (played by Peter Sarsgaard  and Vera Fa

REVIEW: The Sixth Sense - The last minute twist that changes everything.....

MY RATING: 4.5/5 IMDb rating: 8.2 It is said that the trip of life is expensive but the toll of death is free. But no one is ready to take the free ride.No one wants to try it even once. Why? Because we are afraid. Afraid of death. Afraid of 'the end'.                     The movie is about a 9 year old boy, Cole(Haley Jole Osment) who is haunted by ghosts and a child psychologist Dr. Malcom Crowe(Bruce Willes) who is equally disturbed because of his wife who is drifting away into her own shell, where there is no place for his husband any more. Dr. Crowe tries to help the kid as a part of his redemption. The film is about the things which grown ups cant see, don't believe, but are brought into that world by a 9 year old boy.        The superb chemistry between Haley and Bruce Willes is what carries the film and keeps the viewer totally engrossed. The looks which they share with each other, their talks, the way Bruce Willes always breaks the ice when the boy is not in

REVIEW: Winter's Bone: Simple and Spectacular

My Rating: 3.5/5 IMDb rating: 7.5/10 A little bit slow at the beginning, made me lose my patience many times during the first half. But Jennifer Lawrence is the one that totally carries the film on her shoulders in a spectacular fashion. It simply shows her journey through the world where there is lot of poverty but still she takes care of the entire family single handedly. She is tough (not like the kill bill style tough) and makes the aura around her very believable and sympathetic. The script is pure and perfect. The characters are not showy and yet show true emotions and expressions throughout the film                                                  This is story of courage and the self belief which the characters carry with themselves. The film is made of utmost purity and simplicity, as there is no background music in the film. I'll recommend this film to all those people who wants to to celebrate courage and the determination of a young girl who is hunting down her fat
